The Violin Bass '63 - 60th Anniversary takes its inspiration from a bass made around July and August of 1963 and, as far as is possible, is a close reproduction of that instrument. Below is a list of some features that are incorporated into this bass.
- Two piece neck
- Two on a strip tuners
- Pickguard raised higher than normal over body
- Red fibre washer used on jack socket
- Jack socket offset in relation to control panel
- Pyramid chrome nickel flatwound strings with black silk windings
- Treble pickup mounted close to bridge
