Blue sPot
Blue sPot, Hungarian blues-rock band was formed in 2005, starting with covers of blues classics. Later on, they started writing their own songs, mixing elements of rhythm and blues with classic rock, funky, jazz and folk motives. They regularly play at diverse clubs and festivals. They hosted their own stage at the Valley of Arts Festival, where they came up with improvised concerts and jam sessions involving numerous guest musicians.
Their first album including 15 own songs, ’Blue sPot Café’ was released in 2012. Their new music video, ‘Only you were on my mind’ was published in 2016.
Members: János Bárth is the band's leader, guitarist-singer and song-writer. Besides Blue sPot, he is member of The Bits Beatles tribute band. László Kelemen is the bass player, formerly playing in the indie rock band The Nobles. István Mezőfi ‘Fifi’ is the drummer, one of the most respected Hungarian blues players. In the last three decades, he’s been a permanent performer at major festivals of Hungary and Europe with his bands such as Palermo Boogie Gang, Muddy Shoes, Jambalaya, Soultramps, Frenk, etc.
